As^this is the best blown and most extensively distributed' BiJch, or poisonous
Aconite, of tne Himalaya, it appears desirable to retain for it Dr. Wallicb's original
name, notwithstanding that he has confused with it.certain states of the next
species, one of which he has figured in the ' Plant® Asiatics Rariores/ As the de-
scriptions given by Seringe, De Candolle, and Don apply chiefly, if not entirely, lo
this species, there is much less inconvenience in retaining than there would be in
changing the name.
